Day 1: Arrival in Madagascar
Arrival at the airport, proceed with necessary travel preparations. Begin the journey eastward, a 135 km drive that will take 4 to 5 hours to reach Andasibe. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Analamazaotra National Park and Maromizaha Forest
Start the day with a visit to Analamazaotra National Park, a tropical rainforest where you can easily find the Indri, the largest of the lemurs. Spend the rest of the day exploring the Maromizaha Forest. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 3: Andasibe – Antsirabe
Leave Andasibe as early as possible. After the town of Moramanga, we will stop at the Peryeras Private Reserve, a place that helps us discover various reptiles, often difficult to see in their natural habitat (chameleon, gecko, lizard, etc.). Continue the journey to Antsirabe, with possible stops to discover local arts and crafts. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 4: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo – Tsiribihina
Start very early, around 4:30 a.m., for a 220 km drive that will take 6 hours through the beautiful landscapes of the mid-west, leading us to Miandrivazo. After Miandrivazo, it’s a 1.5-hour drive to the barge landing stage, marking the start of the descent of the Tsiribihina River. Passing through savannah hills, the scenery is enhanced by water birds. The journey ends in the middle of the Bemaraha Gorge, not far from the Anosinampela waterfall. Overnight in tents (lunch and dinner included).
Day 5: Anosinampela – Ambatomisay
Second day by barge, a 7-8 hour descent to exit the gorge and enter the dry tropical forest, offering the first glimpse of baobab trees. Night in a tent (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Day 6: Ambatomisay – Belo/Tsiribihina – Bekopaka
A maximum 4-hour boat trip takes us downriver to Belo/Tsiribihina. After lunch on the riverboat, we take a 4×4 northbound to Bekopaka. 100km of dirt track, taking 4.5 to 5 hours.
Overnight in a hotel.
Day 7: Grand Tsingy Visit
Very early in the morning, after breakfast, we travel 17km by 4×4 to reach the entrance of the Grand Tsingy. The visit lasts approximately 6 hours for the “Andamozavaky” and “Ranotsara” circuits. We then return the 17km to the village. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 8: Bekopaka – Kirindy Forest
Early departure, heading south. 6 hours by 4×4, broken up by lunch in Belo/Tsiribihina, as well as the ferry crossing on the Tsiribihina River. In the afternoon, we continue along the track, seeing baobab trees all along the way. Upon arrival in the Kirindy Forest, we will take a nighttime tour to discover nocturnal lemurs. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 9: Kirindy – Morondava – Belo sur Mer
Begin the day with a daytime visit to the Kirindy Forest, approximately 2 hours. Then continue the drive for 2 hours to reach Morondava.
Do any shopping in town…
In the afternoon, continue the drive, covering 80 km in 3 hours, to reach Belo sur Mer.
Overnight in a hotel.
Days 10-11: Belo sur Mer
Relax, or visit the village and shipyards, take a traditional pirogue excursion.
Overnight in a hotel.
Day 12: Return from Belo sur Mer to Morondava
Drive the 80 km back to Morondava. At the end of the day, admire the famous sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 13: Flight from Morondava to Antananarivo, the capital.
A car transfer to Morondava airport is arranged.
You will be met at Ivato Airport in Antananarivo and taken to your hotel. Overnight in a hotel
Day 14: Return to your home country
In the morning, visit the city of Antananarivo (Tana) or the craft market.
Transfer to Ivato Airport. End of service.
